Update on Zarephath Home
The proposed property is approximately 12,000 sq.ft. However, cheap land will be available at the back side of the land for future developments if necessary.
The owner of the property came to us again yesterday and quoted a price of $200,000 inclusive of a ground floor 6 room building which has a foundation strong enough to add 3 more floors if needed.
Upon enquiries we had made, we were told that the market value of the property with the building can be upto $400,000. Therefore the price he is asking is about half the amount of the market value.
This is a very tempting offer.
Nevertheless, because ours is a faith venture, we do always trust the Lord for the needs to be met.
We do continue to look to the Lord for clear and definite guidance on this.

ZAREPHATH HOME — news from Pappy Daniel
To All OUR PRAYER PARTNERS
Through the last several years, many widows and destitute women had approached our Mission seeking refuge and rehabilitation. However, we were not in a position to help them. At the beginning of the new year we made it a prayer point to seek the Lord on the feasibility of venturing into such a project.
The scriptures verse popped up before us was ” PURE AND UNDEFILED RELIGION BEFORE GOD AND THE FATHER IS THIS : To VISIT ORPHANS AND WIDOWS IN THEIR TROUBLE …”(James 1: 27).
Shortly after, a neighborhood Hindu Man came to the Mission telling us that he has been watching our humanitarian efforts to help the poor people and that he is admireous of our Ministries. Consequently he would like to sell his property and a six room building at a very cheap price to us for making it usable for charitable purpose. He said that he and his family are planning to move to the city of Trivandrum. However, we haven’t made any commitments or promise to this man but we do not know if there is God’s involvement in bringing him to us.
The property will suit the purpose and is near the Mission at a key location with road fronts at two sides. The area is 26.5 cents of land with possibilities for future development.
Nevertheless, we would love to seek the Lord more on this in order to make sure that it is God’s will to move forward.

Update from Pappy Daniel
Beloved in the Lord,
Thank you for your prayers on our behalf.
How we thank God for the provision of funds for the refurbishment of the building! Repairs and cleaning almost complete and the painting has been started.
The children have started coming back but only 27 have arrived so far. There was a Christmas celebration on December 23.

Yesterday morning (Christmas Day) 25,000 Christmas pamphlets with a salvation message were distributed in all the nearby towns with the help of news agents inserting them inside the newspapers so that the gospel message has gone into all kinds of homes like Hindu, Muslim, Catholic, Communists, atheists, agnostics, nominal Christians and real Christians. We are getting very encouraging feedbacks for this.
The New Year service is scheduled for December 31.

Praising God for His faithfulness–and yours
The Covid-19 Second wave and flood relief continues. Many poor Children are begging us for school supplies for online classes as the schools are closed.
In the picture below, a poor boy is silently thanking God for the educational assistance he received from the Light of Hope Mission associate workers.
Tomorrow morning 60 food package are scheduled to go to a nearby village where people are struggling to feed their families because of lockdown.

Celebrating Pappy Daniel’s 80th Birthday
Beloved in the Lord,
The ‘Thanksgiving Service’ for my 80th birthday went real well on April 10, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions only 200 people were permitted to attend. However, Pastors and Christian leaders from several different denominations, Government local body members, political representatives, local Chief of Police, believers from various churches and local public, irrespective of religion, caste and creed, had arrived to honor me.
There was great rejoicing over the goodness and mercy of God throughout the past 80 years of my life. At the closing, 225 love meals were served.

MINISTRY TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

Beloved Prayer Partners and Supporters,
During the Covid-19 lockdown period, we had the opportunity to see firsthand the hardship poor people, especially children, going through in labor colonies and slums in the surrounding villages. How we thank God for provisions to supply food packets to them inclusive of poor pastors at this time of great misery!
It was observed that children in those villages have no play facilities or parks to go. There was no entertainment at all for them to enjoy.
The Lord laid it in our hearts to provide some entertainment for them with slings, rides, merry go round, fiberglass animals etc. at the Mission grounds. Our plan is to bring the children on our mini-bus, give them time to enjoy the facility, play, sing choruses, tell them Bible stories, and pray for the children if they have any physical issues or problems. At the end, a cup of ice cream will be a great delicacy for them.
Of course, the children we care and other children from the neighborhood areas also will be allowed to use the facility. First of all, we have put grass in the area for the designated park. We are moving along with mere faith in God for provisions. We have placed the orders for play items, park benches, fiberglass animals and night lighting. Some items have arrived already.
The initial planning was to start with a smaller facility, but the Lord is now giving us a larger vision than the last newsletter. You may join us in prayers that the Lord will enable us to pay for the following items:

Recently, Pappy Daniel sent the following information about a gospel tract they designed that connects COVID-19 with end time predictions, and an exhortation for folks not to wait until it was too late:
The tract was written and printed only about one week ago. We could only print 5000. Sample copies were mailed out to pastors and outreach workers. Up to this morning, orders have been received for about 250,000 copies. This is something we cannot handle at this time due to lack of financial resources. We are taking it to the Lord for guidance and provisions.
In the meantime we are also trying to help poor pastors who have no income due to COVID-19 lockdown.

Reaching out to Pastors Amid COVID-19
Here is an update from Pappy today:
There are several poor pastors we know personally affected by COVID-19 lockdown because their small congregations can’t meet and therefore no offerings. We are trying to help them with food packages
By the way, I wrote a small tract in Malayalam language indicating that the Corona pandemic is one of the signs of end times,the return of Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage believers to prepare for meeting Him.
The tract has been well received by our outreach workers. We could only print a limited number of copies.
Please pray with us that this message will touch hundreds of lives.
